Six stages, no surprises. Here is exactly what happens between finding a Pug you like and bringing them home.

Browse

Look through the Pugs currently with us. Each puppy has their own page with photographs, age, colour, temperament and the fee. Use the filters if you have a gender, colour or availability in mind.

Choose

Pick the puppy that suits your household. If nothing feels quite right, or the one you liked is reserved, you can apply without choosing and let us suggest a match based on your preferences.

Apply

Complete the adoption application. It covers your household, your experience with pets, and how the puppy would fit into a normal week. It takes a few minutes and you receive a reference number as soon as it is submitted.

Review

We read every application properly, in the order they arrive, and check it against the puppy you chose. If we think another puppy would suit you better, we will say so rather than staying quiet.

Communication

We contact you by email or phone to talk it through, answer your questions and confirm the practical details. This is the point to ask us anything — nothing is agreed before this conversation.

Adoption

Once both sides are happy, we confirm the arrangements and your Pug comes home. Our records for that puppy come with them, and you can contact us afterwards with any question that comes up.

Practical Points

How long does it take?

It depends on how many applications are in front of yours and on the puppy you have chosen. We aim to respond to every application, including unsuccessful ones. If a puppy is reserved, we will tell you where you stand rather than leaving you waiting.

Can I apply for more than one puppy?

Yes. Submit an application for the puppy you would most like, and tick I am open to another Pug so we know you would consider alternatives.

Can I apply without choosing a puppy?

Yes. Leave the puppy selection blank and fill in the preferences section instead. We will match you against current and upcoming Pugs.

What if the puppy I wanted is already adopted?

Use Find a Pug. Send us the photo or the link to the puppy you saw, and we will look for the closest match among the puppies we have now and the ones coming up.
